Mexican Opal in Matrix Cabachons

There are 10 Mexican Fire Opals in Matrix, also known as boulder opals, in a package. They range in size from 8 X 10 mm to 9 X 15 mm.  They vary in shape from round to oval with a few elongated. They range in color from clear to white to orange.  Some have multi-colored flex with greens and reds.  The matrix is the mother stone the opal was formed in.    Instead of just breaking out the opal to cut a gemstone, part of the matrix that the stone is found in is preserved and the opal is polished inside the matrix, polishing the matrix also. These opals are also known as boulder opals. They vary in shape from round to oval with a few elongated.
