This sterling silver lapis pendant measures 42 mm (approximately 1 1/2 inches) from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. This pendant was silver smithed by Leoncio of Mexico. There are only 12 of Leoncio's lapis pendants available in the United States. Unfortunately, Leoncio has passed away. So, no more Leoncio creations will be available once these are sold. This item is listed as one in stock quantity because there are no others exactly like this one. When this one sells, another will be listed. It will be similar, but not the same. Leoncio's work looks like ribbons of silver framing the lapis. This item looks lovely hanging from a dark blue ribbon necklace or on a sterling silver omega. This item is also listed on this website on a sterling silver omega.
These Leoncio pendants can also be purchased at the Franklin Gemstone and Jewelry Warehouse, 3002 Georgia Road, Franklin, NC, 28734 or by telephone order to 828 524-6132. Ask for Diane who will personally package and mail your items to you. The Franklin Gemstone & Jewelry Warehouse also carries many imported and handcrafted jewelry items in addition to a large selection of gemstones and gem rock mined in the mountains of North Carolina, from all over the United States, and imported from all over the world. Many of the imported gemstones are of extremely high quality because they were mined over 40 years ago when most of the mines had not yet been cleaned out of the really quality specimens. Diane's father Ken Adams collected these gemstones of a period of 40 years until his death in 2009. Many of Diane's handcrafted jewelry items are crafted using these rare and beautiful gemstones.
The Franklin Gemstone and Jewelry Warehouse is open from 10 AM to 5 PM Monday through Saturday and by appointment on other occasions. The physical store usually closes from January through March but will continue to open by appointment. The web store remains open for business year round. You many also email through this website to arrange special orders.
