The handcrafted garnet pendant measures 40 mm from the top of the bail to the base of the pendant. The bail is extremely large to accommodate hanging the pendant on a bead necklace. This pendant is made from a rough garnet gem stone. The stone has not been cut or polished. It is 100% in its natural state. This garnet has a natural shine and sparkle. It is wrapped in 14K gold-filled jewelry wire. The pendant hangs on an 18" necklace of polished garnet chips. There is a tiny gold bead between each garnet chip.
Diane has been wire crafting for 5 years and has been making jewelry for 40 years. She studied wire wrapping and wire sculpture at the William Holland Scholl of Lapidary Arts. Many of the gemstones used in her work were collected by her father from around the world over a 40 year year period. Many are local gemstones to the mountains of North Carolina and some of those have been mined in those mountains by Diane herself. Custom made handcrafted jewelry is our specialty. Every piece is unique. There are no two exactly alike. We also have Junior Mining, designed especially for children at our physical store location.
