The black opal in this pendant sparkles red and green. From the center of the stone to the bottom there is a splash of light blue opal that resembles a dove in flight. One of the photos shows a close up of this dove. The pendant measures 39 mm from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant. A gold heart forms at the top just beneath the bail and then swirls around and curls in at the front. Like all of the pieces handcrafted by Diane it is one of a kind. There will not be another exactly like it. Opal is the birthstone for October.

Many of the gemstones used in her work were collected by her father from around the world over a 40 year year period. Many are local gemstones to the mountains of North Carolina and some of those have been mined in those mountains by Diane herself. Custom made handcrafted jewelry is our specialty.
