This amethyst gemstone measures 25 X 32 mm. Amethyst is purple. This one contains a light phantomlike triangle off to one side. Diane shaped and polished this gemstone working with its natural shape. The back is not polished, allowing you to see the stone in its original natural state. Photos of both front and back are featured. The stone is wrapped in 21 gauge hard round sterling silver wire. A ribbon like heart graces the top of the pendant just beneath the bail and embraces the top two sides of the pendant. The pendant hangs on lavender ribbon and cords necklace. The ribbon and cords necklace is 16" with a 2" extension. An option is offered to select the lavender ribbon cord, or a polished cotton lavender cord, or a black cord.
This piece reflects Diane's favorite stone cutting style which is to maintain as much as possible the natural shape of the stone, to polish just enough to show off the stones natural color, and to leave the back natural for contrast and to give the owner the pleasure of see the stone both in it's natural and polished state.
Diane has been wire crafting for 5 years and has been making jewelry for 40 years. Many of the gemstones used in her work were collected by her father from around the world over a 40 year year period. Many are local gemstones to the mountains of North Carolina and some of those have been mined in those mountains by Diane herself. Custom made handcrafted jewelry is our specialty.
